Ball Speed Sensor Placement Requirement:
| Parameter | Placement Requirement |
|---|---|
| Position | Place the ball speed sensor directly in front of or behind the ball's flight path. In front: measures the ball's hit speed; behind: measures the ball's landing speed. |
| Angle | Keep the ball speed sensor at a 0-degree angle to the ball's flight direction. Any angular deviation (cosine angle) will cause the measured speed to read low. |
| Height | The height should be kept roughly level with the ball's flight height. |
| Distance | The distance from the hitting point should be less than 152 meters. |
Baseball Court Placement
For best results, place the ball speed sensor about 9 meters behind home plate.
Note: Line drives hit toward the home run area are measured relatively accurately; however, balls hit toward first base, third base, or fly balls will show lower speeds due to angle errors.
Tennis Court Placement
It is recommended to place the ball speed sensor at both ends of the court and near the center.
