Connect two KS-GC18 devices to a switch or router at the same time. This connection method allows two referees to operate on the game simultaneously, or enables a referee to switch to the backup device at any time if one device malfunctions while they are operating.
As the baskup device, the default IP address needs to be modified. Modify to the same network segment but different IP addresses. For example: 192.168.0.211. Please refer to Scoring Console (KS-MONSTER KS-GC18) Connections the chapter “Modify IP of KS-MONSTER”.
Next, modify the connection devices between KS-GC18 and KS-MONSTER, so that each KS-GC18 is connected to both Main and Backup host of KS-MONSTER of KS-MONSTER at the same time.
Turn on the power of KS-GC18, click the wrench icon in the top-right corner.
Enter the modified “Main Host” IP address of the Monster. If a “Backup Host” has not been purchased, no configuration is required.“
Click “Settings” and then “Player Device Settings”. Enable both Device 1 and Device 2 on the scoring software, and enter the IP addresses of the primary and backup KS-Monster devices.
When the connection is successful, the background of the status bar in the bottom-left corner of the software will turn green.
The main-standby switch button on the front of KS-MONSTER. A green light indicates the main machine, and a yellow light indicates the standby machine. After connecting two KS-MONSTER units with a 25PIN connecting cable, you need to press this button on the KS-MONSTER that serves as the main machine. At this time, the other KS-MONSTER will automatically switch to standby mode, and the yellow light will turn on.
When the KS-MONSTER acting as the main machine experiences an unexpected power outage, system restart, or fails to respond to the operation of external devices, press this button on the KS-MONSTER acting as the standby machine. The button will turn green, and at this point, this standby KS-MONSTER can be put into use.
