KS-MONSTER Issue Detect

Issue 1

After powering on, the screen displays “STARTING” for a period of time, and then changes to “STARTING FAILED”.

Connect a VGA monitor, restart the device, and check the displayed content:

1. If there is no display on the LCD screen all the time, the main control card may not start normally. Please open the case of console and short-circuit the pins on the control card with a screwdriver, to start the control card manually. If it starts normally, it indicates that there is a problem with the automatic startup of the control card.

Sometimes, to comply with transportation regulations, the BIOS battery is removed during equipment transportation. It is also possible that the original BIOS battery runs out after the system has not been used for a long time. In this case, please consider replacing the BIOS battery. Then check the BIOS settings and make corresponding configurations.

Wait for the Monster to power on, then press the “DEL” key on the keyboard to enter the BIOS settings screen.

Select Chipset.

Select South Bridge, click on “Enter”.

Select Power Off, click on “Enter”.

Select Power On, click on “Enter”.

Press the F10 key on the keyboard.

After completing the above operations, turn off the power and then turn it on again.

2. If there is some error message on the VGA monitor but an error prompt appears, please send the error prompt information to us for further analysis.

3. If there is a display on the LCD screen and it normally enters the KS-MONSTER configuration screen, it indicates that the main system is working properly. At this time, please test whether the external devices can work normally.

If the external devices can be used, it may be that only the LCD screen has a fault, and the device can still function normally for the competition.

If all external devices cannot be recognized or used normally, please power off and re-plug the cable. If the problem persists, please contact us.

Issue 2

No display on the LCD screen after powering on:

1. Check whether the power supply is normal. Open the aviation connector of the power cord and check whether the wiring is firm.

2. Check whether the fuse is normal. If the fuse needs to be replaced, you can find the spare fuse after opening the device shell.
