Scoring Console (KS-GC16) Chip Replacement

This chip is used to control the signal for the shot clock timing screen. If the shot clock countdown screen and the console display are out of sync when communication is functioning properly, and other issues have been ruled out but the problem persists, we need to replace it with the spare chip.

Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the screws on the bottom of the console, as indicated in the red area in the figure below, and then open the back panel.

The red area in the figure below indicates the console “MX485” chip. It is recommended to use a sharp tool, such as tweezers. Insert it under the chip and pry upwards.

The position in the figure below indicates the spare MX485 chip. Remove the chip and replace the original one.
